Refunds/Lockbox Analyst

This position is split between Lockbox and Refunds. It will provide support to both teams by processing the weekly refunds check run, refunds correspondence and assigned Epic WQ’s.

Process the weekly Refunds check run, including working with Accounting on balancing voided checks and ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided for each check

Weekly arping of the Check Run file, creating check register reports and updating the check register log sheets.

Process returned refund checks, stop payments and NSF checks

Analyze and process all incoming refund correspondence, including contacting carriers regarding questions on requests, responding to duplicate requests, scanning requests for refund requests that need to be reviewed by Refunds Correspondence Analyst.

Complete all follow up on Refund and Retraction accounts

Work Insurance Balance with No Claim WQ, identifies trends to avoid claims populating into this WQ

Monitor the Pending Retraction WQ

Complete all check research needed to process checks for deposit

Process W-9 requests

Assist with Lockbox processes including opening mail, processing Credit Card Payments, sorting and scanning correspondence.

Other duties assigned by Supervisor or Unit Coordinator.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: High School Diploma or GED.Experience: Two years in accounting or finance.Licensure: None.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers.
