Part-time bookkeeper for a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing business. Previous bookkeeping experience is required. Duties would be similar to or the same as listed below.
Duties:
Record financial transactions in QuickBooks
Arrange payment of accounts.
Prepare and send invoices and receipts to debtors, usually via QuickBooks
Communicate with vendors on accounts payable and receivable, as necessary
Complete bank reconciliations.
Check figures and reporting for accuracy.
Report any irregularities in data to management.
Produce balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, training and experience
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Four or more years of financial/accounting support or similar work experience; preferably in a business with high-dollar accounts payable and receivable.
Basic Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated level of professional customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of principles and practices of fiscal support and management
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks and ability to train on and learn new computerized systems
Keen attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Physically and emotionally able to work in a cubicle office environment, or in a temporary work space as provided for the position.
Notes: This is not an entry-level position. New hire will be involved in setting personal work hours and schedule and the opportunity has great flexibility. We are estimating a work load of about 15 hours per week, although there will not be a guarantee of hours and employee will only be paid for hours worked. All Afton Scientific employees are subject to a background investigation following offer of employment prior hire.
