Data Center Operations Technician Apex Systems, the nation's 2nd largest IT Staffing organization, has an immediate and high profile opportunity for a Data Center Operations Technician to work with one the nation's Big Five Tech companies. Data Center Operations Technicians are tasked with monitoring and supporting physical facilities conditions, communicating and escalating alerts and client requests to systems engineers for resolution, and completing tasks pertaining to computer hardware, software or operation systems. - Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment
- Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows
- Experience electrical or mechanical experience
- Experience with operating systems and networking protocols.
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintenance and monitoring of computer hardware and server hardware
- Experience working within a data center or network operation center environment
- Linux/Unix desktop support experience, including installation, systems administration, and troubleshooting
