Personnel Security Team Lead-REMOTE

Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a REMOTE Personnel Security Team Lead within our Personnel Processing Center (PPC) to directly support the National Security (NS) – Intelligence business group. This position will directly report to the Director of Personnel Security (PERSEC). The Security Team Lead works in concert with Contract Security Officers (CSOs), who together work with Program Managers, our government clients, employees, and candidates to obtain or maintain government clearances, support classified space and system access as well as provide other essential security services for the NS business area. As a Security Team Lead, you will work independently and interdependently within the PPC to:

Manage and actively support the clearance processing efforts of employees or candidates by assisting them with completing the SF-86 fillable form (the 2008 and 2016 version) that meet the requirement for submission to the government client. (Processing Crossover’s, Crossover/RIP’s, Crossover/Reviews). Certain contracts have specific processing timelines and correction cycles that must be met.

Proper completion of 4311’s (verifying information on SF86 if applicable­)

Manage the team’s preparation and review of Government Security Forms for accuracy and completeness based on the clearance action, level and program (as applicable per position).

Create, maintain, and validate records in Amentum Security’s database of record (TrackVia-Gateway)

Manage team members workload in accordance with program needs and ensures the timely completion of customer tasks, quality measures, and mission requirements.

Maintain and develop strong working relationships with NS functional business areas to include Program, HR, Contracts and Recruiting.

Assist, develop, and implement organizational training initiatives to maximize team members performance.

Must strictly adhere to organizational policies and coordinate with management when team members are non-compliant with those policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

5-7 years of relevant work experience

Top Secret security clearance

Experience and knowledge of Intel contract processing

Ability to work well within a team structure with minimal direct supervision

Proficiency with software applications such as MS Office, Outlook and Adobe Pro

Strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to interact positively with all individuals either in-person, over the phone or via teleconferencing applications
