Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting functions within a manufacturing setting, thereby playing a critical role in scaling our business for continuous growth. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage all accounting functions, ensuring adherence to standard procedures and policies Collaborate with the C-Suite and operational leadership to develop and implement new processes and systems Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of financial data and adherence to regulatory requirements Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Oversee accounts payable activities and ensure all financial obligations are met in a timely manner Implement and maintain a robust system for managing general ledger activities Ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained and accurately reflected in the accounting system Oversee the calculation of the cost of goods sold (COGS) and implement strategies to optimize cost efficiencies Hold a CPA certification and apply this expertise in the execution of all accounting functions Collaborate with other departments to implement system improvements and optimize operational efficiency.Requirements Must have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP). Demonstrable experience with Auditing and Manufacturing. Expertise in Month End Close and System Implementation. Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification. Solid understanding of General Ledger and Financial Reporting. Experience in managing Adequate Inventory and familiarity with Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Ability to implement and maintain strict financial controls and procedures. Strong analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to establish good relationships with vendors. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
