United in our quest for excellence, KBR stands at the vanguard, ready to transform possibilities into impactful realities for a better tomorrow.Who You AreResponsible for the design, specification and services related to the built environment such as public and administrative buildings, residential, living quarters, control rooms, maintenance facilities, research facilities, electrical substation, etc. This role will be located in the Chantilly, VA area. The Architect will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly, VA and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%. What You’ll DoAs an Architect, you will:
Plan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope.
Provide technical guidance, review of design drawings, and management of design services operations ranging from proposal creation, work plan creation, client relations, oversight, design reviews, construction documentation/specification development, QA/QC, technical excellence review and fee development to management of performance.
Perform code analysis, construction phase shop drawing review and assembly of requests for proposals, change orders and closeout documentation.
Bottom-line responsibility for the financial and technical success of a project
Responsible for all phases of project planning and execution.
Day-to-day contact and communication with the client and focus on providing client satisfaction.
Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
Performing field-related work, collecting design information, and verifying designs for tie-ins, function, and clearances to existing facilities.
Ensure the project progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
Assist in the preparation of project reports.
Working with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate new designs into the existing facility models.
Check the accuracy and quality of drawings developed by drafters.
Produce quality drawings.
Assist in presenting 30% 60% 90% design reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications:
Must have a US TS clearance with a Poly clearance.
Must have a minimum of a BA/BS, from an accredited institution, in Architecture.
Must be a Licensed Architect.
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
Must have extensive experience in project management, including overseeing design processes from concept to completion, and a proven track record of successful project delivery, particularly in large-scale and complex projects.
Must be proficient in architectural design software, including MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant tools, and be knowledgeable of building codes, standards, and regulations.
Must have experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other advanced design technologies.
