This role combines technical expertise in machine learning (ML), large language models (LLMs), and data science with strategic business development responsibilities. The AI/ML SME will play a pivotal role in architecting cutting-edge business solutions, advising on advanced AI topics, and driving growth through capture activities.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Provide expert guidance on ML, LLMs, AI implementation, and natural language processing (NLP) to internal teams and clients.
Architect scalable, AI-driven business solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with technical and operational goals.
Define data requirements, assess data quality, and address security and privacy concerns, proposing mitigation strategies as needed.Perform data science tasks, including data analysis, model development, validation, and optimization to support decision-making and solution deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems and workflows.
Support business development by identifying opportunities, participating in capture activities, and contributing to proposals and pitches.
Conduct market research to stay ahead of AI/ML trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Present technical concepts and solutions to diverse stakeholders, from engineers to C-suite executives, in a clear and compelling manner.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from a top-tier university.
Minimum of 5 years of core experience in data science and machine learning, including at least 1 year in a research capacity.
Prior experience supporting efforts for the US Government
Proven expertise in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, AI implementation, and natural language processing (NLP).
Strong knowledge of ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern software development practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD).
Familiarity with data security, privacy regulations, and ethical AI considerations.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to business development, including capture planning and proposal writing.
