Description We are seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting to join our client's team based in Blacksburg, South Carolina. This role is critical to our joint venture, leading the accounting, financial planning, and data analysis processes. You will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing the creation of financial statements, forecasting, reporting, Work In Progress (WIP), and developing internal control processes. This role, part of the construction services industry, is a permanent position.If you have more than 3 years of relevant experience and wish for your application to be confidentially considered for this role - we'd like to hear from you!Responsibilities: Head and oversee accounting, invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting functions. Organize monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidated financial statements and reports using QuickBooks Online. Create and execute internal auditing protocols, guidelines, and procedures for all activities under this role. Supervise the accounting team and ensure compliance with company standards, GAAP, and other applicable legal requirements. Coordinate and implement the annual audit of the company’s financial statements. Align financial reporting with the overarching company strategy and provide quality data to aid management in making important decisions. Increase efficiency of the financial processes and reporting. Collaborate with company management on synthesising the annual budget. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closure processes, reviewing financial results, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries for compliance with U.S. GAAP. Assure compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax requirements. Apply your skills in Crystal Reports, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, QuickBooks, Viewpoint Spectrum, WIP, Project Costing, and Project Accounting.Requirements Proficiency in using Crystal Reports for data interpretation and presentation Advanced knowledge of Accounting Functions, including general ledger entries, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation Solid experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with Auditing processes and procedures to ensure financial compliance Experience in Budget Processes, including planning, forecasting, and analysis Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks and financial management Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum software for integrated business operations Understanding of WIP - Work In Progress accounting methods Knowledge in Project Cost management and control Experience in Project Accounting, including tracking the financial progress of projects.
