Are you ready to accomplish your vision? Position Summary: As a Lead Fabricator you will be responsible for following a blueprint while welding aluminum and steel. This role is crucial in ensuring quality control standards are met while following safety guidelines while leading others throughout the shop floor. Essential Functions:
Oversee day-to-day production activity.
Facilitate departmental workflow to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Aid in planning projects and executing project guidelines.
Weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per blueprint requirements.
Use shears, grinder, torch, press brake, or drill press as needed per job specifications.
Reading and understanding product schematics, along with assembly instructions.
Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
In addition to any other duties assigned by the leader.
Work Environment:
Work Conditions consist of a manufacturing plant environment.
Must be able to work in a variety of work environments, such as cold and hot weather.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stoop, crawl, walk, twist, and stand for long periods at a time.
Should have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Safety glasses and steel tipped work boots must always be worn.
Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certified Welding Certificate preferred.
5+ years’ experience in Fabrication - metal, wood, and/or plastic
Welding abilities in MIG, flux core, aluminum, TIG, and/or stick
Sign fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints.
Good dexterity
Spectacular attention to detail
Good organizational skills
