Description We are on the lookout for a diligent and experienced NOC Technician to join our team based in Ashburn, Virginia, United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing infrastructure installation requests, supporting building power downs/single sided events, and providing detailed estimates of assigned projects among other tasks. This role will be part of our dynamic telecom provider team, offering a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Manage infrastructure installation requests from initiation to closure Support building Power Downs/Single Sided Events Certify infrastructure network connections and peripherals prior to handoff to DCS Interface with various teams to provide any additional infrastructure Coordinate work requests with electrical contractor to ensure all Service Levels are met Create Tickets/TCMs & monitor for approval, Closeout/Cancel them once work is complete Assist with rack level capacity management and MOA monitoring Participate in meetings pertaining to BAU or projects INF work Provide Root Cause Analysis reports regarding power issues Coordinate the Infrastructure Installs including but not limited to power installs, infrastructure & rack installs, and infrastructure cabling Responsible for the ordering and tracking of all infrastructure materials and Purchase Orders Manage Infrastructure Stock. Requirements Must possess at least 2 years of experience as a NOC Technician Proficiency in Network Operations Center (NOC) processes is essential Experience with Cable Assemblies and Cable Installation is required Must be skilled in using Microsoft software and tools Familiarity with Cisco Hardware is a must Must have knowledge of SAN - Storage Area Network Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work in a team and independently is required Willingness to work in shifts, including nights and weekends, if necessary Must have the ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in the event of network emergencies.
