- Facilitating engagements with other Emergency Support Functions (ESFs), government, and industry partners for restoration of communications.
- Ensuring program execution towards mission requirements, facilitate professional growth, and support administrative needs.
- Conduct After Action Reviews (AARs), document recommendations and facilitate resolutions.
- Supporting drafting of communications related exercise objectives, exercise injects, and define scope of participation.
- Developing, overseeing implementing, and tracking the ESF #2 training program, to include initial indoctrination, refresher or annual reoccurring requirements, response and recovery operations, career enhancing and advancing training.

- Employees who are initially appointed to supervisory positions must serve a supervisory probationary period for one year.

- Relocation expenses are not authorized. Other recruitment incentives may be authorized.
- Must able to be deployed to alternate locations during emergency situations and to live in somewhat primitive conditions in these circumstances. Duty conditions may require separation from family up to 30 days.

- This position may be designated as essential personnel.
