- Editing, writing, and publishing pamphlets, fact sheets, articles, backgrounders, talking points, frequently asked questions, web content, guidebooks, social media content and a wide variety of other written communications on risk management, cybersecurity and infrastructure security topics.
- Collecting, analyzing, explaining, and presenting information to communicate the organization's mission specific to cybersecurity and infrastructure security and resilience programs, priorities, activities, accomplishments, and issues or events for external audiences.
- Coordinating with program staff, External Affairs Staff, and others to assist with the production and execution of communication tactics and tools for use in speaking events, stakeholder meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other forums.
- Monitoring Executive Orders; Congressional legislation; DHS policies and directives; and pertinent reports and proposals of other government agencies, private organizations, and Congress so as to have current knowledge of influences and trends affecting CISA programs, activities, and issues in order to conduct supportive and aligned external affairs activities.
- Interviewing program managers and subject matter experts to develop themes and messaging direction; and analyzes audience understanding of cybersecurity and infrastructure security subjects in order to produce written communications products to present material clearly, accurately, thoroughly, engagingly and convincingly.
