- Pay: Up to $85K/yr (Depends on Experience)
- Provide input into strategic communications plans, with an emphasis on social media.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in government, industry, and academia to develop targeted messages.
- Create actionable objectives and timelines, and develop and track metrics.
- Develop information, graphics, and publications to facilitate technical and programmatic goals, and to communicate and articulate abstract concepts to support government S&T programs.
- Design, create, and transition web page content, graphics and communication materials, and video and animation content in support of agency tasks and programs.
- Identify and utilize the latest IT resources and capabilities to facilitate information retrieval and dissemination.
- Work with and ensure that all material developed and used in connection with the agency’s tasks and programs meets security and strategic communication guidelines and requirements.
- Assist in the planning, facilitation, and execution of agency initiatives, and liaising with other organizations within the DOD S&T community, other Federal Agencies, Academia, Industry and internationally, to include senior military and government personnel.
- Support special studies and technical advisory groups as required to provide recommendations on how to align agency programs with service needs, strategic concepts, and leadership priorities
- 5+ years of strategic communications experience.
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in communications or marketing.
- Expertise in social media
- Prior experience with DoD/DoN and S&T is highly desirable.
