This role involves confirming compliance with project specifications and industry standards for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of mechanical installations while collaborating with a team of professionals dedicated to excellence.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Inspect mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, confirming proper functionality and performance.Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions.Conduct labor interviews to verify proper worker classification and wage compliance.Immediately notify contractors and relevant officials of any potentially life-threatening safety conditions.Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking.Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups.Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.
