DescriptionAmazon is seeking an experienced Insights and Analytics Manager to drive measurement, goal-setting, and strategic reporting across Amazon’s internal communications channels. In this critical role, you will advise communications leaders, business partners, event managers, editors, writers, and channels owners on actionable audience insights and content performance. With a deep understanding of channel strategy, editorial decision making, and communications best practices, you will manage and leverage metrics and data to recommend tactics for continuous improvement through experimentation and testing. The ideal candidate is fluent in data analytics and business intelligence tools, including Excel, Qualtrics, Tableau/AWS Quicksight, SQL, and can partner with business and technical leaders to deep-dive into data in order to solve complex business problems. They excel at identifying and interpreting patterns and trends in user behavior and content performance. The ideal candidate is organized, curious, and works backwards from their audience and the business problem.Key job responsibilities Engineer, develop, and maintain ongoing and ad-hoc metrics, reports, dashboards, and analyses, to demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of the work driven by the Internal Corporate Communications team. Define the data that will most effectively and accurately measure the impact of internal communications; work cross-functionally with internal research and analytics teams and external partners to secure access to key performance and audience data points. Own a best-in-class reporting system providing weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates on comms performance metrics and audience insights to Channel Managers, Editorial, and other key stakeholders. Collaborate with Channels, Editorial, and Events teams to help them understand internal audiences, develop and execute data-driven globally-scalable audience engagement plans across key internal communications channels and content pillars. Uncover new opportunities to drive engagement based on the latest digital trends and audience insights, developing strategies to mitigate risks and foster measurable growth. Partner with Product and Tech to raise the bar on data quality and governance; act as a product owner for the teams’ insights and analytics tools and solutions. Educate communications professionals on performance trends, interpreting data, and leveraging self-service tools and capabilities.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USABasic Qualifications

4+ years of experience in digital analytics at a media company, publisher, or communications agency, or in internal communications, with an advanced understanding of content, channels, and events strategy.

5+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.

5+ years of experience delivering cross-functional projects.

5+ years of experience in program or project management.

Relevant experience working with large data sets and to extract and transform data using various tools and technologies.

Advanced experience in using data and metrics to determine improvements, including through A/B testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting and goal-setting.

Exceptional data storytelling abilities to present compelling and clear insights to high-level leadership.

Adept at leading cross-functional projects by building relationships and aligning diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Skilled at data visualization and dashboard creation (e.g., Tableau, AWS Quicksight, Power BI) to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights.

Hands-on experience with SQL and A/B testing, familiarity with Python/R and AWS data storage solutions is a plus.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals including external partners.

Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.

Experience in driving projects cross functionally, build partnerships with other organizations, and work proactively with business teams to ensure security, operational and business objectives are met.

Proven problem-solving skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.

The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market.
