High Assurance Computing SME to work in our

Arlington, VA office.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description: ECS is seeking a subject matter expert to advise DARPA R&D efforts in High Assurance Computing. In this role, you will be part of a team overseeing research programs and guiding their strategic direction and focus. You will work directly with DARPA leadership to identify limitations in state-of-the-art technology and foster the next generation of novel principles. The successful candidate will have deep industry experience in multi-level security and cross domain challenges, hands on experience with software and hardware development, knowledge of high assurance computing accreditation (e.g., DO178-B and NSA Type 1), and a strong passion for research. An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required. Candidates are expected to be on site in Arlington, VA.

Required Skills:
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
  • Master's in Computer Engineering, Software Engineer, or related technical field.
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art secure computing principles, security architectures, and implementation techniques.
  • Hands on experience with software/hardware development and verification.
  • Familiarity with high assurance computing accreditation processes and communities.
  • Personal Qualities:
    • Strong problem solving capabilities.
    • Outstanding attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Self-motivated and a demonstrated self-starter.
    • Proven ability to work on multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Exceptional professionalism in fast-paced environments.

Desired Skills:
  • TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Experience with large DoD-related R&D programs.
