DevOps Engineer - ACTIVE TS/SCI REQUIRED

CTG is seeking to fill a Cleared DevOps Engineer opening for our client in Arlington, VA.Location: Arlington, VADuration: Permanent PlacementDuties:

Support the development and deployment of infrastructure in AWS.

Automate deployment processes and ensure the reliability and scalability of services.

Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure.

Monitor and troubleshoot production systems, resolving issues as necessary.

Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.

Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, exploring innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).

Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda).

Proficient in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go).

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience:

5+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development (Java preferred).

Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management.

Knowledge of AGILE software development methodologies.

Relevant experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, MongoDB, etc.) is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or

Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; or

High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

A current TS/SCI + CI Poly U.S. Government Security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

Must have DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification (e.g., Security+ certification).

Must hold a Computing Environment certification (AWS, Linux, Kubernetes, etc.).

Must be able to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir, VA, 5 days a week .

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

Familiarity with big data solutions such as ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
