Specification Writer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Specification Writer to join our team with the job location to be on-site at WMATA premises in Alexandria, VA or New Carrolton, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical specifications for construction and engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.Develop, revise, and maintain WMATA technical specifications and the WMATA Manual of Design Criteria;Develop technical documents to support design, construction, contracts, and operations processes for capital and non-capital projects;Prepare policy and procedure documentation;Maintain the most up-to-date versions of WMATA technical standards in an orderly manner;Conduct timely technical reviews of draft documents; andPerform additional assignments as directed by the WMATA Task Manager.
