Description Role: Family Law Paralegal [Full-Time/Direct-Hire]Location: Alexandria, Virginia [On-Site]Description: As a Paralegal, you will be tasked with handling various responsibilities within the realm of Family Law. The firm handles both contested and uncontested family law matters, including divorce, custody, visitation, child support, and spousal support matters. Responsibilities: Drafting, revising, and finalizing legal pleadings and documents (e.g., complaints, motions, reply motions, discovery requests/responses, witness and exhibit lists, settlement agreements, etc.) Utilizing the PACER and e-Filing portals to track and submit court filings Arrange for court filing submission (both electronically and by courier or in-person) Provide administrative support to attorneys, including routing calls and maintaining organization of case file and relevant documents Prepare subpoena requests and conduct document review to ensure request has been satisfied Keeping track of client accounts and taking necessary actions as required Assisting in the resolution of any client concerns or issues in a timely manner Collaborating with the team to ensure all legal proceedings are handled professionally and in accordance with set guidelines.Requirements The following qualifications are required: MUST have a minimum of 2 years' experience in Family Law MUST have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a law firm setting MUST have experience with filing documents with various courthouses MUST be familiar with preparing pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, and organizing discovery documents for production MUST be commutable to the Virginia office 5 days a week The following qualifications are ideal but not required: Experience preparing and calculating support using VADER Experience drafting pleadings from scratch and prior templates Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, vision insurance, 401k, pto, etc.Why Join?
