System Engineer (Travelling) Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World System Engineer (Travelling) Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the World PAE is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead a technical support team. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communications skills as well as a previous work history of providing tier 3 support in a large enterprise environment. This position requires an individual who possesses a positive attitude, organizational skills, a drive to focus and produce results, and the ability to lead a team to provide an excellent customer experience, while effectively managing customer relationships in a constantly changing and evolving environment. This is a full-time salaried position with compensation to be based on experience and overall strength of the candidate. Primary responsibilities include working on server-based products, including building and supporting servers with Hyper-V, EXSi, Exchange and SQL servers. - Ability to build a server with Microsoft Server 2019, SQL, and Exchange, and integrating all software products one.
- Experience deploying servers with minimal support.
- Strong proficiency in the installation, configuration, and management of Hyper-V instances.
- Assist the technical support team's high-quality, timely resolution of support requests.
- Actively coordinate and collaborate with team members and customers to understand, propose, and continuously implement system improvements.
- Assist with analysis, planning, testing, and implementation of solutions.
- Resolve issues escalated from team members, providing guidance and education
- Responsible for maintaining and sharing knowledge of policies and procedures for hardware, software, and technical services
- Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals, work well within small and large team environments.
- Support system upgrades and migrations while maintaining up-time to customer services
- Monitor and provide end-to-end O&M for all OCONUS hosting environments
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/ Poly
- 2+ years of related system build experience
- 3+ years of Information Technology experience, with a focus on building servers.
- Skills, Knowledge, And Technical Ability Requirements
- Strong Experience with VMware products desired
- Ability to travel up-to 50% as required.
