Job Summary:Mount Snow Child Care operates year round for both recurring community/employee families and non-recurring guest children. Our program has a long history and is deeply rooted in the community, providing a unique mountain environment in which to nurture and develop our kids.The Childcare Supervisor will have daily responsibility for the Mount Snow Child Care programs and staff. This position will work with the Program Director to lead staff training, development, and classroom curriculum (including Universal Pre-K). They will also assist with administrative duties and leadership of the teaching team.The Childcare Supervisor will ensure a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children and staff are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. They will communicate effectively with children, parents, and employees to guide staff and support relationships with families. This position will report to the Child Care Manager/Program Director and will comply with all company policies and state licensing regulations.Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:
Support teachers to coordinate and implement educational curriculum
Lead the Child Care team with ongoing feedback, and provide support for teacher development
Encourage teaching success through coaching and providing development opportunities
Supervise daily activities; including retail and recurring guest programs
Assist with personnel management; including payroll, performance appraisals, disciplinary issues, and adherence to company policies and licensing guidelines
Meet state requirements for Pre-K programming.
Maintain frequent communications with parents and families
Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
Maintain accurate records, forms and files.

Job Qualifications:Required:
Currently has or can attain, Vermont State Early Ed Teaching License
Group child care experience, background in guest services and teaching
Proficient with managing labor and expense budgets
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word
Fluent in English
Must be capable and comfortable stepping into a classroom to care for children ages 2 months to 6 years including diapers
Ability to follow all procedures and guidelines as outlined in the staff manual and employee handbook.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Must clear full background check
Preferred:
Experience developing curriculum and staff
Self-motivator, team builder, organized and capable of meeting multiple deadlines
Excellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills, fosters a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Infant CPR/First Aid certified
Previous experience managing staff and operations at the supervisory level
The expected pay range is $25 - $26.99. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
