The Global Head of Scooping has exceptional knowledge of business operations, financial management , development of high performing teams, and demonstrated ability to build and manage strong relationships. You will continuously assess the needs and opportunities across the retail franchise system, prioritizing areas that meet overall business objectives , integrating our core values, and ensuring internal and external stakeholders (including franchisees) are working collaboratively together to bring the B&J brand experience to life for fans. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Global Scooping Strategy:
The Global Head of Scooping & NA Associate Director is responsible for the success and growth of Ben & Jerry’s retail scooping experiences globally.
Responsible for managing the holistic B&J Retail P&L, in partnership with finance to ensure sustainable, profitable, growth.
They will lead the development and implementation of Ben & Jerry’s retail strategies and development programs working closely with Regional Heads of Retail, Franchise Operations and Marketing.
Sets clear goals and objectives for the Global Retail System in-line with company goals and deploys regionally.
They will work collaboratively and globally to ensure best practices in processes while keeping procedures up to date and ensuring standards are deployed locally.
Partner with the Managing Director of Americas, Managing Director of EU/ANZ, and regional marketing teams to develop and execute marketing strategies while ensuring the enforcement of our Operating and Brand Standards.
Responsible for the contractual compliance of all scoop shops and licensors , partnering with the regional leads across the scoop shop system.
Drive inclusive and equitable practices across global retail operations, embedding a diversity and inclusion lens into team management, operational strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.
Examine and develop business models that promote inclusion and equity in franchise ownership, ensuring diverse representation and equitable opportunities across the franchise network.
NA Scooping Operations:
Facilitate communication between the company owned stores, franchisees, Brand team, Operations Specialists, Ben & Jerry’s Franchising, Inc, acting as advocate for the best interests of all . To that end, organize and conduct occasional meetings of across the stakeholders.
Audit and preserve communication with the shops and operators regarding contractual issues for potential legal reference.
Responsible for development goals and plans for system growth and prioritized markets list. Partner with team on franchise recruitment and assessment.
Lead a site evaluation committee to consider all Site Evaluation Packages and, with Operations Specialists and Brand Champions, to approve or reject proposed real estate.
Provide management tools and systems for Operations Specialists to analyze the franchise business and track performance.
Review and analyze financial data with shops and franchisees and provide consultation on sales trends and strategic planning .
Provide training programs and support to Operations Specialists to ensure all Scoop Shop Managers are certified in Ben & Jerry’s Operating System.
Select and certify exemplary retail locations as training facilities in each country and/or region.
Work with Ben & Jerry’s Business Consultants and Retail Brand Manager to develop and coordinate the implementation of marketing programs.
Work with the designated distributors, vendors and franchisees to ensure quality service and positive working relationships.
Prepare and present workshops at regional and national franchise meetings.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in retail management or similar field , with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple regions or countries.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the retail industry, including franchise operations, financial management , and marketing strategies.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with a strong track record of building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that align with business objectives and drive growth.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and ensure profitability.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Cultural Competence: Experience working in a global environment and understanding of cultural differences and their impact on business operations.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $135,600 to $203,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
