Job DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and experience managing 6-10 software development engineers to help us build, run, and scale the OCI Health Checks service. This is an exciting time for Health Checks as we are evolving our architectures to support the next wave of growth for OCI business.You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires agility, adapting as priorities shift, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions while growing the team. You should value simplicity and scale, work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn. You should be comfortable working with architects, product management, and senior technical talent. You must be adept in both oral and written communications aimed at engineers, senior leadership, customers, partners, and other Internal teams.Career Level - M3ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:

Grow and lead an engineering team of 6-10 engineers for the Oracle Health Checks team

Lead projects that span multiple infrastructure domains including networking, storage, and virtualization

Own engineering design, project planning, delivery.

Cultivate best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules

Drive operational excellence for the service

Collaborate with other leaders on developing and delivering product roadmaps, operational improvements, and critical cross functional customer commitments

Participate in a Manager On-call rotation for the team.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience of growing and leading successful teams

5+ years of experience leading and successfully delivering  large and complex technical projects from concept to production

Sound understanding and demonstrable experience building and operating large scale global distributed systems

Sound understanding of cloud architecture patterns, networking fundamentals, observability, and operations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrable Project Management experience in delivering large cross functional projects

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
