Our client, a leading utility supplier is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire 1 st shift opportunity (Mon-Fri - Summer months, and Winter months - 10 days straight & then 4 days off).SUMMARY The Maintenance Tech I supports our operations and clients by: ensuring that equipment at our customer sites operate effectively and efficiently on a 24/7 basis including natural gas compressors, dryers, gas dispensers, control panels, valves, piping, wiring, electrical system, high-pressure gas systems, pneumatics, offloading stations, and related equipment. In addition night and weekend on-call responsibilities region wide may be required on an assigned 2-week rotation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Completing all assigned projects and tasks proficiently.

Completing and tracking of maintenance activities.

Logging daily operating parameters.

Tracking and maintaining supply inventories.

Organizing and managing all tools and equipment.

Coordinating with vendors and suppliers.

Timely ordering of parts and materials.

Scheduling and managing outside maintenance contractors.

Following all company safety practices, company policies, industry practices, manufacturer recommendations and OSHA guidelines are followed.

Assisting periodically with daily facility operations, facility maintenance or other special projects as assigned by the Operations Director.

Covering territories assigned to other Maintenance Techs when needed to cover vacations, sick days, etc.

Presents a professional image consistent with company standards.

Maintains awareness at all times of the effect of actions upon the experience of the customer and co-workers.

On-call responsibilities as assigned.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma required, and 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience that provides evidence that the candidate has (1) proven ability to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on a variety of equipment and systems; (2) hands on mechanical skills and a working knowledge of heavy equipment, pneumatics, motors, compressors, electrical and communication systems. (3) the ability to analyze problems and implement solutions; (4) the ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing; (5) the ability to provide positive customer service; (6) demonstrated planning, judgment, organizing and decision-making skills; (7) the ability to exercise mature judgment; and (8) the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.

LANGUAGE

Ability to read, and comprehend safety manuals, parts manuals, O&M manuals, schematics, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams, technical procedures, and/or government regulations. Ability to write reports evaluations, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, and clients.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications. Ability to use concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in developing and troubleshooting solutions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and act on a variety of instructions which may be furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Able to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Ability to use basic computer programs including email, spreadsheets and word processing.

OTHER SKILLS, CHARARCTERISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The employee must show evidence of exceptional communications skills, a collaborative disposition, and a drive for quality. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
