Opensash is a window weatherization and repair and restoration company in Montpelier, Vt. that specializes in weatherizing existing windows by adding weather seals and low-e glass. The added glass is integrated into the sash and all aspects of the existing windows are conserved. The shop work and on site work involves using power tools, routers, table saws, chop saws and a CNC router. We work with wood, glass, paint, metal, hardware, and glazing compounds Worker will go through the whole process of removing, modifying and reinstalling a wide variety of windows. No two jobs are the same and there are many problem solving challenges to be had. We work and think with our hands. We are committed to creating a comfortable and safe diverse work environment. A basic familiarity with power tools is the only required for entry level position. The field of retrofitting old windows is rapidly evolving and offers many opportunities for growth.
