Job Title: Handyman

About Us: We are a growing property management company in Stowe that is looking for a handyman/ beginner carpenter to join our amazing team! You must be reliable, have an attention to detail and be a self starter. We are ideally looking for someone who wants 25-35 hours a week. Must be able to work one weekend day during our busy times. 401K included after 60 days work. We treat our staff fairly, with respect and our great incentives for the right person.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handyman/carpenter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This includes both routine maintenance and addressing more complex repair needs. This person should also be able to help and assist with remodel and renovation work under our lead carpenter(s), which could include demo, painting, and assistance with head carpenter duties. Able to life 50 lbs plus
Responsibilities:
Performing general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds in residential environments.
Identifying and troubleshooting maintenance issues.
Completing work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
Documenting work performed and materials used.
Able to multi-task and change duties as needs are reported.
Carpentry background a plus, but not required, will be required to assist in remodel and renovations with experienced team members.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a handyman/carpenter or in a related maintenance role.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Able to take instruction.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with carpentry or prior handyman experience.
Experience in landscaping and home maintenance.
Must be able to show up and work and be reliable.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay: $30-38 an hr based on experience
Benefits: As an employee, earned pay leave, 401K after 60 days
Schedule: 25-35 hrs a week with one weekend day every two weeks. More if proved
Bonus Pay: Holiday bonus, bonuses on renovations for jobs completed in a timely manner.
