Construction Superintendent:
Nedde Real Estate is looking for a full-time construction superintendent to manage the construction of our new 70,000 SF apartment building in Winooski, VT. The project consists of new construction of a 5- story residential apartment building with 83 residential units. The new apartment building will be wood framed and erected on top of a new concrete podium being built on top of a new parking garage. Erection of the prefabricated structure will start in May 2025. Completion of the project is expected by spring 2026. The superintendent duties and responsibilities include:
Open and close the project every day. Normal working hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Longer hours will be required during critical stages of the project.
Maintain project safety. Ensure our subcontractors work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
Work with our subcontractors to manage their work schedules and daily activities.
Coordinate materials and equipment delivery on site. Maintain just-in-time deliveries.
Make sure our subcontractors create and follow an agreed upon work sequence and schedule. Make sure our subcontractors stay on task and on schedule.
Attend Project Meetings with the owner, architect and engineers. Provide schedule update to the group and discuss work being performed on site.
Initiate weekly subcontractor meetings and manage weekly meetings to maintain project schedule. Recommend changes as necessary to manage the project schedule.
Work with the Nedde Real Estate project manager to update and maintain the project schedule.
Monitor subcontractors 3-week work look ahead schedules to make sure the project remains on schedule.
Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Oversee the construction crew, ensuring everyone is working safely and efficiently, meets project milestones, and adheres to construction regulations.
