WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
Overview:
Guy’s Farm and Yard is a family business looking for a hard-working, dedicated employee to join our Warehouse team. This is a full- time position with the possibility of a flexible schedule. Weekend hours are required.
Job Description:
Our warehouse is a fast-paced environment. The ability to multitask is essential.
This job includes but is not limited to serving warehouse customers, loading vehicles, assembling loads for deliveries, and receiving vendor trucks. Storing and organizing warehouse merchandise in overhead racks using a forklift and by hand is a continuous element of this position. Warehouse associate will occasionally travel in company vehicles to assist driver. Daily duties involve working in all weather conditions, cleaning, sweeping, emptying the trash, cleaning and organizing yard, snow shoveling, etc. The Warehouse Associate will assist showroom employees and be willing to cheerfully help in other capacities as necessary. Driver training may be available for qualified candidates.
Qualities Desired:
This is a family owned and operated business. Candidate must be comfortable interacting in a positive manner with customers, fellow employees, and the management team. Must have a sense of humor and exhibit patience in daily interactions, which can present unforeseen challenges at times. Applicants must be willing to learn and be self-motivated.
Requirements:
Must be reliable and hard working.
Must be able to comfortably lift 50lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Must complete forklift training and demonstrate the ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently.
Must work at least one weekend day per week.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
