Weekday Horse Farm Work

Beautiful horse farm in East Calais is looking for barn help. Morning work, Mon-Fri. Job consists of barn and horse care, including feeding and turning out horses, mucking stalls, filling waters, moving hay, grooming. Additional work lungeing and working with horses for workers with horse skills. Horse experience preferred, but willing to train. Opportunity to trade for board with use of indoor arena, and French Classical dressage, carriage driving, horsemanship, or mounted archery lessons.
Details:
- $18 - $22/hr. starting, raise once worker is able to work independently. Regular raise with worker's record of reliability and responsibility.
- 4-6 hour/days,
- Year round work needed.
Needs:
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Show up on time ready to work
- Comfort with physical labor and outdoor work in variable weather conditions
- Interest in animal husbandry/farm work
- Farm work experience preferred, but not essential.
