Seeking a Housekeeper for 30-40 hours per week for a lovely family of four, with two adult children and a small dog. You will work primarily in the residence family home in Hanover, NH, with care required for second guest property also in Hanover.
Candidate should have basic, general housekeeping skills, and be able to handle small projects (e.g., organizing pantry, car washing, garage cleaning) and light errands (grocery shopping, post office, etc.) and identify and escalate more complicated projects or repairs when necessary. Consistency in availability/scheduled hours desired. Occasional extra hours will be requested when family entertains guests. Warmer months are busier.
Duties will include:
Overall cleaning
o floors - vacuuming, mopping
o dusting and polishing
o removing marks from walls and furnishings
o kitchen – counters, dishes, and appliances
Laundry and occasional ironing
Making beds
Cleaning bathrooms
Removing trash
Cleaning outdoor furniture and blowing or sweeping outdoor surfaces (warm season)
Freshening up the home prior to the family or other guests coming to the property and then tidying up after they leave.
Reporting any maintenance problems or safety hazards to family’s office staff
Communicating clearly and reliably
Other role requirements:
These are large homes, which will require the candidate to be on their feet for hours at a time. The person in this position needs to frequently move from one room to another and walk up/down a flight of stairs.
Attention to detail is required. Must be able to take direction and be self-motivated and responsible enough to perform with minimal oversight.
