Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Install various roofing systems, including Asphalt Shingle, metal roofing, and flat roofing materials.
Repair and replace damaged roofing components such as shingles, tiles, flashing, and membranes.
Conduct roof inspections to assess existing conditions and identify areas requiring repair or replacement.
Diagnose roofing issues, including leaks, cracks, or structural damage, and propose effective solutions.
Safely handle roofing materials, load and unload materials from trucks, and transport them to work areas.
Prepare roofing materials for installation, cutting shingles, flashing, and underlayment to size.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and efficiently, including nail guns, saws, drills, and hoists.
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Work collaboratively with the roofing crew to meet project deadlines.
Provide courteous and responsive customer service throughout the duration of roofing projects.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate should possess:
Legally authorized to work in the US.
Valid driver's license is a plus, but not required.
Reliable transportation to and from Brattleboro, Vt Shop.
Proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems.
Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and best practices.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment.
