Trattoria Delia is looking for an experienced line cook to join the team at our busy downtown Burlington restaurant. As a sauté cook at Trattoria Delia, you play a key role in our restaurant because you’re in charge of preparing the impeccable pasta dishes we’re known for. You'll stand side by side with colleagues in the Trattoria Delia kitchen, working together to turn local and imported ingredients into the delicious artisanal Italian cuisine that keeps people coming back again and again!

Responsibilities:

● Ensure that pasta dishes are just exactly perfect by expertly cooking and finishing our fresh pasta

● Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment, work surfaces and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices

● Having previous experience as a cook, you can manage multiple priorities at once

● Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, labeling and dating stored foods, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock

● Season and cook food according to recipes

● Respond to guest and staff feedback and requests with appropriate urgency and professionalism
