Job Title: Line Cook
Department: Food and Beverage
Position Status: Full-Time Year-Round
Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Date: May 2025
Job Summary: The Line Cook is responsible for feeding our guests on a weekly basis. This includes both a la carte and buffet service.
Essential Functions:
Prep food ingredients for each workday
Maintain the functionality of kitchen equipment
Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard-free workspace to maximize efficiency
Adhere to food safety standards
Oversee the appearance of food displays and the quality of the food being served
Maintain inventory of food items on hand
Qualifications:
Minimum two years cooking experience
Ability to prepare food items correctly (i.e. eggs cooked to order properly)
Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to listen effectively, to speak and write clearly
Self-motivated, organized, fast and even-tempered
Detail oriented
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Requires extending arms, bending and stooping to reach materials
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Work Environment: The position involves regular exposure to open flames and hot items, and the use of potentially hazardous sharp cutting utensils. Most work is performed indoors, but some occasional outdoor work, such as snow shoveling, may be required. Outdoor work is performed in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind and rain, on varied snow surfaces.
