Job OverviewThe Staff Accountant will be responsible for research and resolution of accounting issues, reconciliations, maintaining internal controls, and auditing the work of others to ensure timely and accurate financial closings as they relate to the Coffee business. Accountant will be responsible to accurately complete assigned projects, may build work procedures for other accountants, prepare reports for internal/external stakeholders and represent team on process improvement initiatives as needed. Responsibilities:

Participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, prepare journal entries, analyze accounting transactions and perform reconciliations

Perform financial analysis and analytics

Support the development of and adherence to internal control processes

Assist with special requests and ad-hoc projects

Provide support and coverage for other accounting staff as necessary

Perform research and analysis to support accounting entries

Create and maintain process documentation

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience

SAP and Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Solid knowledge of US GAAP

Financial acumen, experience with problem solving and strong analytical thinking

Strong attention to detail, hands-on, high intellectual curiosity, and strategic mindset

Ability to collaborate and be a self-motivated positive team player

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines

Effective written and verbal communication skills

High degree of dedication and initiative

Strong analytical and organization skills
