Looking for an occasional live in caregiver for my mom starting late May/or June - October.
We are located in Cornish, NH, close to Windsor, VT and the Upper Valley.
I live with her most of the time and am looking for someone to live-in for a full week or two at a time, while I take a break.
I am open to hiring two people who could cover various weeks. Times and weeks may be changeable so we are looking for someone who is retired or only needing a part-time job. If it all works out we would be open to hiring you each summer.
Best scenario is:
You are a warm, caring, dependable, honest, responsible person.
You can speak English well.
You are careful around Covid in your life and would be careful with my mom.
You would be able to wear a mask, and remind her to wear a mask if needed.
You know a bit about computers and iphones.
You can listen well to directions and can report well, to me, what is going on when I am not there.
You drive carefully and could bring her to doctor's appointments and take notes.
You like to cook and think of new tasty and healthy meals to cook along with my mom.
You are a safe driver and could take her shopping.
Are organized and would like to tidy up and keep things orderly.
Would be willing to work alongside her in the garden.
Have a cheerful curious attitude but also know how to be quiet and give space.
You are a good listener.
You are comfortable with family groups visiting and also comfortable being alone with my mom.
Would like to go on 1-3 mile walks and encourage her to exercise.
You are willing to work as an independent contractor.
If you have experience in eldercare or working with elders with memory challenges all the better!
We will need good work and personal references.
We would pay by the week for a weekly shift.
