Position Details Advertising/Posting Title CALS Facilities Manager Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Posting Summary CALS Facilities include over 60 buildings located on and off campus and encompasses over 270,000 sq. ft. This position is responsible for providing assistance to CALS Dean’s office and departments for campus-based and Extension field office facility-related issues, such as renovations, relocations, and repairs. Provide support to CALS AES and Facilities Directors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations related to facility inspections, employee training, occupational safety and animal care; by identifying issues and raising potential risks to be addressed by the CALS Director of Facilities Supports space inventory as well as equipment purchase, repair, and maintenance tracking. Provide support to the CALS Director of Facilities to liaise between CALS faculty and staff and the various central services and external contactors and vendors.Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor’s degree in related or specialized field and three years’ related experience required. Ability to obtain specialized licensure may be required. Understanding of efficient design including basic construction and building systems required. Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and crisis management. Effective communication and project management skills. Ability to interact with multiple levels of personnel in an academic setting.
