The New School of Montpelier is looking for a clinical fellow, graduate student, or certified Speech Language Pathologist for the 2023-2024 school year on the Montpelier campus.
The proper candidate is responsible for ensuring high quality and effective speech/language assessment and services for students with disabilities. They must have thorough understanding and abilities working with AAC devices, and be able to help students and staff use the devices for language support. They will help case manage all students, and will receive oversight from a campus SLP.
Reports to: campus assigned SLP mentor, and/or Program Director, and/or Executive Director
Direct Reports: none
Qualifications: Master’s degree (or working towards one) in communication sciences & disorders or a related field as approved through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In addition, a Vermont license or educational endorsement is preferred. Must have experience with development and administration of programming for students with significant challenges. Must have excellent written, verbal and time management skills. Must have the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with school and outside team members, and parents/guardians.
Compensation: commensurate with relevant experience
