NOTICE OF OPEN POSITION Maintenance Generalist March 2025 For more than 50 years, Washington County Mental Health Services (WCMHS) has served the Washington County community and the Orange County towns of Orange, Washington and Williamstown. WCMHS provides education, support, and treatment of individuals and families living with mental health challenges, substance use issues, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. Washington County Mental Health Services is “Where Hope and Support Come Together.” POSITION: WCMHS is seeking a Maintenance Generalist to join the maintenance team that is responsible for maintaining all agency properties. Duties include responding to help desk tickets and emergency work as assigned. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate is a skilled, adaptable professional with a strong commitment to facility upkeep and safety. including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, roofing, and repairs to windows, doors, and siding. The role also requires expertise in flooring installation and maintenance, as well as knowledge of sprinkler systems, heating systems, fire panels, and internal alarm systems. Additionally, this position serves as a backup for janitorial and housekeeping duties as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: The Maintenance Generalist education and work experience will include:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Clean driving record

Maintenance tasks may include:

Interior and exterior painting

Carpentry

Plumbing

Electrical work

Roofing

Flooring – installation and maintenance

Window, door, and siding repairs

Major appliance repairs

Additional skills for this position include:

Knowledge of sprinkler, heating, and/or internal alarm systems.

Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with clients, WCMHS staff, and other professionals.

Commitment to the WCMHS mission and positive regard for individuals accessing services.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This full-time position offers a non-exempt hourly wage range of $19.58 - $28, based on experience, excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement/student loan assistance; generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match.
