Performs diagnostic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed healthcare provider. Exercises professional judgement in the performance of these services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethical principles. Provides appropriate patient care and monitors patient conditions essential for successful completion of any procedure. Care is provided to infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. This position may not perform any fluoroscopy exams nor administer any form of contrast media. In addition to imaging duties, helps with registration of patients, and assists with patient procedures such as splinting.Qualifications:In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Completion of training in an approved school desired. Current enrollment in an approved school as a second year student acceptable.
Previous experience preferred but will consider a new grad or currently enrolled second year student.
Ability to communicate effectively with the patient and the healthcare team.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and health care team.
Vision sufficient to read medical records, instruments, documentation, and visual changes in patient condition.
Hearing sufficient to interact with patients who may be unable to speak at normal voice level.
State of employment Limited Scope Operator Certification Required
BLS Certification required within 90 day orientation period
Must meet continuing education requirements dictated by ARRT.
