This position is responsible for providing direct care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients in Labor and Delivery, Post-Partum, and Nursery departments while assisting director as needed with supervisory duties. Responsibilities
· Prepares patient care area adequately and ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
· Reviews and carries out physician orders timely and according to policy.
· Reports to physician any patient changes in condition, test results, etc. in a timely manner.· Assures that patient meets all discharge criteria.· Provides orientation, direction, training, education, coaching and mentoring to staff· Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, protocols and regulations.· Serves as a resource to staff and other departments. Leads the handling and resolution of issues and complaints.· Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments· Leads by example. Creates and fosters an environment of teamwork and exceptional service.· Assists Director with competency verifications, performance reviews and other areas as needed.· Must be a licensed RN to practice in the State of Utah
· Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN, and STABLE certifications required within 6 months of hire
· 1 years OB experience preferred
