Part-time painter needed to repaint houses and apartments. We’re looking for someone with experience painting professionally that is not currently employed full time and can take on a few small jobs each month. The units are mostly rental properties that will need to be flipped quickly so speed and flexibility are very important. You will run the jobs yourself without outside interference so you’ll need to be able to delegate and manage your own schedule.
Job Description:
You'll be assigned a small number of houses each month (usually between 3-5) that need the interiors repainted.
We will go over the unit together and after agreeing on a price and setting a reasonable deadline, work must begin ASAP. You will run the job yourself without interference, make your own schedule, and hire/delegate to your helper/s. If needed we can help find you a helper but already having someone that you know and work well with is a huge plus.
You will do any minor drywall repair (nail holes, dents, small holes, etc), texture, sand, and paint. All interior surfaces must be painted (ceilings, trim, walls, doors) and will all be the same color and sheen. Completed work will be inspected and any issues must be remedied. All materials and tools will be provided as needed.
Requirements:
Experience with a paint sprayer (professional experience). A paint sprayer can be provided but having your own is preferred.
Experience as a professional painter - 5 years minimum
Ability to repair minor drywall damage. This includes matching texture to the existing walls
Flexible schedule - Once assigned a job it will need to be completed ASAP. You will need the ability to free up your schedule and begin work within a few days of being assigned a job.
Personal Transportation - The ability to also transport materials and tools is preferred
Ability to run your own crew on your own schedule. Already having an experienced helper is preferred but not required
Payment Schedule:
Payment will not be immediate. When the painting is done, an invoice will be sent to the property owner and paid as promptly as possible. The time this takes can vary between a few days and a few weeks. Payment for the paint job will be given to you when the invoice has been paid by the property owner.
