Field Scout/General Farm Labor
We are a 2,000 acre farm, located 150 miles Northwest of Las Vegas. We are in an isolated location and you must be able to live on property for the season.
This season we are looking for workers to help in the fields as well as general farm labor which includes:
Field Scout: transplanting crops, scouting the fields, field work, and harvesting.
General Farm Labor : pulling weeds, fixing fences, carrying 50 lbs-80 lbs objects, landscaping of the housing areas, etc. Equipment maintenance will involve cleaning equipment with air pressure and greasing equipment. Equipment operations: driving tractors from 50-180 hp, hay harvesting equipment, forklifts, loader, and backhoe.
We are looking for hard-working individuals with attention to detail, have leadership skills, and are physically fit.
We will train you and have an orientation on your first day.
We start pay at $13/hour, potentially working 60-70+ hours per week. Sundays would be optional work days, if you need to do personal errands or have religious obligations.
We are agriculturally exempt from paying our employees overtime.
We do provide housing, utilities, and WiFi. With that being said it will be communal living, shared bedrooms and bathrooms.
You will be responsible for your own food, any personal items, gas, and personal transportation.
The closest grocery store is approximately 60 miles away, so upon your first day please come prepared. We also have Schwans food delivery that comes every other week.
We do require you to have your own transportation and 2 valid forms of ID.
Verizon cell phone carrier is the only one that has service on property.
We are also a dry farm and we dont allow drinking on the farm property. We also dont allow any smoking for this position. No illegal drugs use of any kind. This is a zero tolerance policy.
Please no pets of any kind.
We also conduct random drug tests.
