Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in St. George, South Carolina. This role is in the finance industry and revolves around maintaining the financial integrity of our company by ensuring all accounts payable processes are completed accurately and efficiently. This role requires you to be stationed at our office.Responsibilities: Ensure all invoices are processed efficiently and in a timely manner, adhering to departmental procedures Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any potential issues Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable processes and procedures Conduct audits of invoices against purchase orders, identify discrepancies, and seek approval for payment Verify, enter, and post details of business transactions to the appropriate system Code invoices without purchase orders and ensure they are duly authorized Prepare approved debit memos as necessary and communicate notices to vendors Answer vendor queries promptly and professionally Maintain and organize all accounts payable documentation Review all outstanding invoices at the end of every month and reconcile vendor statements Assist with the reconciliation of accounts payable-general ledger accounts.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes Demonstrated ability to enter vendor invoices accurately Experience with processing purchase orders Familiarity with coding invoices for various departments Proven skills in entering invoices into an accounting system Experience in processing vendor invoices in a timely manner Ability to perform reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
