We are currently hiring for the Packaging Rotator Amerio Discharge or Caser positions. Openings are available on 1st shift. Shifts are 10 hrs rotating schedules.Job Description: Operates the discharge side of the Amerio Freezer.Primary Responsibilities: Amerio Discharge

Monitors discharge side of Amerio to help keep downtime at a minimum.

Calibrates scale and takes temperatures and weights on product every thirty (30) minutes. Completes related paperwork.

Assists Amerio Infeed Operator when he/she has bad boxes or jams.

Verifies that all packages going to Caser are in Code 10 boxes.

Boils packages to check for leakers.

Takes samples to taste kitchen and lab.

Models the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.

Records productivity, cost, quality, and safety information on shift handoff boards daily. Conducts shift handoff meetings daily to review KPIs and results of the previous shift.

Performs all other duties as assigned by Team Leader.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

Understand verbal and written instructions in English.

Must follow safety rules and procedures including the wearing of safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses and whizard gloves where appropriate.

Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), USDA policies and the food safety program.

Identify sub-standard ingredients, products, or procedures and take corrective action to insure GMP's.

Must be able to transport oneself to, from, and around one's designated work area on concrete surfaces which are often uneven, wet, and slippery.

Detect and understand warning lights, buzzers, alarms, or instruments indicating hazardous conditions or circumstances which may cause equipment or product loss and physical harm.

Work every scheduled day and arrive at workstation at or before the scheduled starting time.

Communicate effectively with various support groups, supervisors, and team members.

Must be able to weigh commodities accurately.

Must be able to add, subtract, and multiply.

Must have legible handwriting.

Work in temperatures ranging from 35 degrees F. to 100 degrees F.

Must be able to stand and maintain a position at a workstation for a 9-10 hour period with two 15-minute breaks. One half hour is allotted for a lunch break.

Able to work at least 40 hours per week on an assigned shift with some daily overtime required in case of emergencies and weekend overtime required.

Is able to function effectively as a team member or in one-on-one situations, and with minimum supervision.

Is able to develop and prepare necessary reports, and maintain daily documentation, such as code, time, and product check lists.

Is able to climb up and down steps or on and off 6” - 10” platforms frequently during the shift.

Is able to clear product jams from a production line safely and quickly.

Is able to continuously maintain a workstation and frequently bend over, lift, pull, and push packages on a production line.

Is able to frequently manipulate the arm(s), wrist(s), hand(s), and finger(s) for the purposes of gathering, stacking, and sorting food products and/or packages: also for the occasional operation of machinery buttons and tools.

Primary Responsibilities: CaserOperates machine and printer functions.Completes proper set-up, product change and paperwork procedures and demonstrates these procedures to operators in training.Hand palletizes product in the event of palletizer downtime.Identifies potential problems in order to minimize efficiency loss and scrap. Clears jams properly.Monitors variances by performing necessary functions in the Waste Compass and taking appropriate action when variances are negative.Records productivity, cost, quality, and safety information on shift handoff boards daily.
