Overview - ResponsibilitiesWood has an immediate need for an intermediate Electrical Designer in our Salt Lake City location. This position designs electrical, instrumentation and control circuits or systems for industrial facilities and develops drawings and other documents to support those designs using a computer-aided design (CAD) system and other toolsand.nbsp;Key responsibilities: Create new or modify existing electrical drawings including, but not limited to, one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams and lighting, grounding, cable tray .and.amp; equipment layouts Requires basic knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes Creates new or modifies existing instrumentation drawings including, but not limited to, instrument layouts and details. Creates new or modifies existing control systems drawings including, but not limited to, control equipment layouts and control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, schematics .and.amp; details Relies on instruction and pre-established standards to perform the functions of the job Works under immediate supervision of the electrical engineering and instrumentation manager Primary job functions occasionally require exercising independent judgment Works alone or within a team to complete designs on time and within budget.and.nbsp;.and.nbsp;Skills - Qualifications Minimum of two years of designing and-or drafting experience or related technical experience of education Associates degree in electrical, instrumentation and-or controls design from an accredited program is desirable Knowledge or of experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD electric Knowledge of or experience with MS Office products e.g as Word and Excel. Experience and working knowledge with the National Electric Code (NEC) Familiarity with motor controls.
