Driver - NON EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANPORTATION (NEMT)
Part-time and full-time position available in Utah and Salt Lake County. Day shift Monday thru Friday.
Utah Mobility MedTrans provides safe, timely, and courteous personalized medical transportation services for our Utah residents. Our team members have an exciting opportunity to give back to their communities and provide important services to those in need.
Responsibilities:
- Transporting passengers/patients with varying needs including passengers needing wheelchair transportation, to and from medical facilities, and assisted living facilities in a timely manner.
- Assist ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to enter and depart vehicles, as well as in and out of pickup/drop-off points.
- Provide conscientious and friendly customer service.
- Follow appropriate procedures for passenger loading and unloading.
- Utilize GPS to locate pick up and drop off locations.
- Ensure vehicles are cleaned, sanitized and maintained in good working order.
- Interact with clients in a professional, compassionate, and conscientious manner.
Qualifications:
- Safe driving skills
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more unassisted
- Ability to use technology (GPS, Bluetooth, smart phone apps etc.)
- Valid Driver’s License - no more than two minor traffic violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to pass post job offer drug test and background check, as well as random drug testing thereafter
- Timeliness and reliability
- Ability to think quickly, adapt to changes in schedule, and multitask
- Minimum age of 21
