About Us
Long Okura, P.C., is a Utah Family Law Firm. We have been in business since 2004. Rebecca Long Okura is the managing attorney; she has been litigating since 2000. We focus on divorce, paternity, grandparent's rights, mediation services, adoption, and other family law issues. We also do Estate Planning, Probate litigation and some Small Business transactional and litigation work.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate excellent legal competency and professionalism
Convert potential clients into clients
Follow internal processes with respect for and compliance with the system in place
Conduct appropriate and thorough discovery
Handle family law cases from initial consultation through trial
Litigates cases with highest degree of integrity and rigor
Appropriately and ethically bill clients for time
Be an active and upstanding member of the larger legal community
Take cases in other approved practice areas in order to prevent stagnation and burnout
Education
Bachelors Decree
Juris Doctorate
Qualifications
Some family litigation experience
Active Utah Bar License
Skills
Maintains mental organization in the midst of many cases
Exhibits the ability to write high level legal documents
Has the proven ability to bill clients appropriately
Works well with support staff and other lawyers
Demonstrates an ability to obtain clients
Solves problems effectively
Shows empathy for clients going through difficult times
Exhibits patience with others, including staff, clients, and opposing counsel
Considers all legal options and advises clients correctly and thoroughly
Posseses excellent negotiation skills

Compensation
$100,000.00 base + bonus per year

Benefits
Compensation is structured with a high base salary and then potential to bonus based on billed and collected hours. Our billable hour requirement is incredibly reasonable and far lower than other firms offering comparable compensation. Therefore, our lawyers usually bonus $10,000-$20,000 their first year. We also provide all employees with an additional bonus of an annual ski pass or other health/fitness membership.
Health Insurance after 60 days of employment - firm pays 1/2 of single person premium; up to 3% Simple IRA match after 1 year of employment
