Responsibilities

Reviews all licensees for prospective new customers and/or existing customers based on their pharmacy customer data file – these reviews include top prescribers, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and affiliated pharmacy licenses.

Based on these reviews: Identify any missing licensing information and/or incorrect license information and make appropriate changes within the system.

Research certifying organizations (e.g., state Board of Pharmacy/Medical websites) and manually retrieve publicly available license details for missing individuals/ entities.

Review any disciplinary documentation associated with any individual/entity to determine if any individual/entity has been subject to disciplinary action within the last 5 years related to controlled substance dispensing, prescribing, or diversion.

Identify any potential red flags and add appropriate work notes describing the Potential Red Flag to have the Potential Red Flag reviewed by another member of the CSMP team.

Communicate, both verbally and written, with internal customers including Sales, Customer Onboarding, and Customer Master teams to educate and provide guidance on licensing guidelines as they differ from state to state.

Work closely with other team members to establish best practices and meet service levels.

Effectively communicate and collaborate with management and other team members to ensure all processes are being properly followed.

Actively engage in team chats/message boards to ensure overall team success and collaboration.

Work Legal and Compliance Department as state licensing guidelines change. Ensuring we have updated guidelines and communicating new regulations to our internal stakeholders to establish best practices to meet our service level agreement.

Ability to adapt to changing business needs. Our team will be affected by consistent and ongoing changes to State regulations and as a result will need to have adaptability. Some of the changes include collecting and analyzing dispense utilization reports, reviewing a facility’s top five dispensed controlled substances compared to DEA ARCOS data, cash payments vs. non-cash payment ratios, and reviewing out-of-state vs. in-state patient ratios.

Resolving critical customer-related issues legitimate patient medical needs are not affected by service disruption due to expired or incorrect licenses. This often requires schedule flexibility and working past 5 p.m. EST to accommodate customers in other time zones.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Criminology or Sociology or related field preferred

2-4 years of related experience preferred

Familiarity with Pharmacy Operations

Familiarity with Internet based search functions

Strong analytical and communication skills

Anticipated salary range: $55,400 - $75,400
