Receives, greets and directs visitors to appropriate person or office.

Answers telephones, providing assistance and directing customers to the correct person or office.

Answers questions about the organization and associated activities.

Processes and distributes mail.

Orders and maintains supplies for department.

Processes departmental purchases.

Assists with word processing, data entry and internet searches.

Maintains office equipment.

Provides administrative support to supervisor or department.

Assists with arrangements for meetings and conferences.

Establishes and maintains confidential files.

Other duties as assigned.

Problem SolvingThe incumbent may be required to prioritize tasks received from multiple staff members and determine the order of importance. The incumbent must use discretion and judgement when scheduling appointments and in screening calls.
