Job Title: Scientist, Analysis Design Engineer Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Job Code: 10785 Work Schedule: 9x80 L3Harris is seeking a Communications Analysis and/or an Electronic Warfare (EW) Analysis Engineer to provide technical knowledge and expertise in the area of communications systems and EW for DoD programs and joint research programs We design, develop, and test communication systems, advanced electronic warfare systems and multi-function systems. L3Harris development efforts include the whole lifecycle of designs from proposals, requirement definition, coding, simulation, synthesis, place and route, verification testing, and system support. This position would focus on leading system architectures and/or leading teams in algorithm design, analysis, simulation and implementation support for complex systems across multiple processing elements. Areas of expected technical experience or education include:
Leading teams performing system architecture, algorithm design, analysis, simulation and implementation support of complex designs in complex systems with multiple Sofware Defined Processing elements
Expertise using MATLAB or similar analytical tools
Electronic Warfare (EW) systems architecture and analysis and/or Communication systems architecture and analysis
Algorithm development, simulation, and documentation
Software Defined Radios
Digital Signal Processing
Experience in laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and/or other complex measurement devices.
Requirements analysis and management
Code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase.
Proposal support
Familiarity with/exposure to some or all of the following
Digital filters
Forward Error Correction (FEC)
Networking
C/C/C#
Simulink.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
